About Me

I’m Dr Corina Sims, a Rural GP, newly retired obstetrician, menopause doctor, and women’s health coach based in South Australia. Like many women the midlife transition was a very difficult time for me. And like many women, I felt frustrated and disconnected from my body. This period of time was also somewhat of a gift for me, as it made me confront my long history of yo-yo dieting. I learned to relate to my body in a whole new way.

Through evidence-based nutrition, resistance training, and mindset shifts, I completely changed my approach. I stopped dieting, rebuilt my strength, and found a sustainable approach to exercise and nutrition that allowed me to feel confident, energised, and at home in my body again.

Now, I help other midlife women do the same. Through the podcast I created, Opt to Thrive and the Opt to Thrive Midlife Reset Program, I combine my medical background, coaching experience, and personal journey to guide women toward better health, strength, and vitality in menopause and beyond.
